Founding Chair:  Prof Paul Kymissis

Paul Kymissis is currently Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Nicosia Medical School and holds an honorary appointment with St George’s, University of London.  He is also the Chief of Psychiatry of Children’s Village in New York and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at New York Medical College.

Prof Kymissis studied Medicine at the University of Athens and was trained as a neurologist and psychiatrist in Greece. He was then trained in Adult and Child Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.  He is Board certified in Adult and Child Psychiatry by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association.  He is past President of the World Hellenic Biomedical Association and honorary President of the Cyprus Psychiatric Association. He is the author of about 60 publications
