Medical students visit Hope for Children UNCRC Policy Centre

On April 9 and under the MOU signed between the Medical School and the “Hope for Children” UNCRC Policy Center, 14 medical student volunteers visited the Hope for Children shelter in the old city of Nicosia.    The students took the personal and family medical history of each one of the children, a record that will become part of the teenagers file with the Shelter.  It was a unique experience and students had the opportunity to put into practice their communication and clinical skills knowledge.  Congratulation to students Hava Schwab, Michel Hilani, Homero Alves, Priya Shobha, Abhishek Jayakumar, Chun Alexander, Demetra Kyprianou, Jennifer Yau, Kristi Constantinou, Lydia Semo, Kenan Rahima, Nashrur Rahim, Noor Shami and Omar Itani.    The students were assisted by Dr Joseph Moutiris who led the expedition as well as by Dr Ourania Kolokotroni, Dr Constantina Constantinou, Mr Argyris Evangelou and Mr George Sycallides.
